I use both ON1 Photo Raw 2026 versus DXO Photolab 10.
They have many similar features, but here is my take on significant differences:

DxO’s philosophy is to enhance image purity, not change or add/remove objects.
DXO has excellent noise reduction (the best?) which I often need for low-light, moving subjects.
It has better masking with the ability to refine a mask via chroma and luminance.

ON1 has a broader philosophy and allows for use of multiple images
via layering, bracketing, HDR, panoramas, etc.
ON1 also allows edits to a photograph that would not be allowed in most contests:
generative erase, sky replacement, resize AI, etc.
ON1 has a broader suite of presets and effects.

I find ON1's AI based noise reduction good, but not as good as DXO.
I find ON1's masking good, but not as good as DXO.
