The exposure looks good, but 1, 2, and 4 have too much head space and would have benefited from being shot in landscape orientation. Congrats on the DSLR!

Yeah that's true, have a few landscape oriented photos as well, will try to add them this week

Personally I don’t like to shoot in bright day light especially when it’s really bright out there, like I see in your photos it very difficult to get some kind of emotion/contrast into it, try to add something to it by seeking for shadows/reflections. I try to stop it down with a filter(s) in situations like this. But having said that nice shots!!!
