Ive had a little time to practice with my camera lately and feel im starting to understand what the settings are for and what they do. Still trying to get the hang of using the right settings for the right situation now. Here are a couple quick shots I took while driving the back roads in my Jeep.

The first one is the best of the set. I think it would be a little bit better though if your angle was lined up with the angle of the stack of wood that is going away from you. So if you had been looking a little more to the left.

Nice shot though :)

I have some like that. Ill post them shortly so you can see what you think.

For me, they improve throughout the series. 0885 and 0883 are more interesting as you pull back and establish wider context in-shot. The close-up of the leaves on the tree needs greater DOF.
Does that mean a higher apeture number?

did you shoot any black and white ?
No, I didnt. I wish I would have, but I don't know enough about B&W to get any decent pics yet. Trying to do one step at a time. I do love b&w photos:thumbup:

#3 is very much underexposed... if letting the camera meter for you you might need to add a stop or so of EV so it exposes it right... cameras will tend to underexpose since there's so much white in the frame...

I noticed that once I downloaded it. I wish I would have seen that while taking it, but atleast Im learning how to spot a few problems here and there. On some of my pics I actually did add a stop or two. I read that tip on here given to someone else. Glad I decided to log that into my memory, lol. Is it ok to let the camera meter for me or would I be better off to do it? I dont know if I even know how on my camera yet.
