First Tip: Embed the images - be courteous to those who are giving you C&C, they are doing it on their time, and aren't expected to have to click links

I can't get the images to embed, but thanks.

#1 has probably the most potential but there is some halo-ing that is unappealing. Additional underexposures would have brought back some of the branches and leaves that are blown out.
#2 the vignette is destructive-- I'd like to see this picture bigger without the Vignette; but it looks a little soft besides that. To me it is the most interesting composition of the batch.
#3 the foreground is too dark and the composition is uninteresting.

Outside of the haloing in #1, none of them look like HDR at all.
#2 looks like a daylight shot, but with stars added in.... it's overall confusing.
#3 looks more like a poorly tone-mapped single shot.

bad halos, other technical issues and composition problems.

step 1: develop a composition
step 2: perform cute tricks like HDR

there should be no step 2 without a step 1

#2 is the most appealing as far as theme, color. Some people might like the effect, but vignette is too distracting and might be better if subtle or not applied at all. Even so, it seems more of a spontaneous snapshot lacking in composition. Maybe the shot could be framed around the branches with fall leaves (lower right) and preferably the background tree out of sight.

Alright, thanks for all the tips, everyone! And I apologize, #3 isn't an HDR, I probably should have labeled that. Also, they aren't going to look of a professional quality HDR, hence, my first attempt. ;)
