Nothing special, just wanted some opinions on these two photos.

this one was taken in her garden, we were planning on going in to Paris but didn't have enough time so we settled with some photos in her garden with a bit of a nature theme, this is my favourite.

another photo session in a pretty town in the suburbs of paris, i had never been to this part of the town before but it was absolutely stunning, it was in the evening and the light was a bit difficult but i still managed to get a few good ones. I definitely toned down the in camera processing and saturation on this one as you guys previously advised.

I also gave her a bit more direction than before and even got quite a lot of her smiling which she does so beautifully. As soon as i'm back from my holidays after next week we're planning another trip to paris and when i come back from my studies in december we're planning some winter themed photo sessions too but obviously that's a long way from now.

Alex, to me the shots either look soft or the image quality isnt good. It may be caused by miss focus, motion blur or low quality glass. I am not sure which one. I also think there isnt enough light on the subject. Perhaps if you had exposed the subject higher, it would look sharper.

I agree, also the first one is really really green.

I like the green in the first one but it does look like you missed the focus especially in the second one

I like the idea on both shots , but I believe they are both war too soft.
Also in #1 she's green (might be reflection from grass or poor PP) ..

You may want to try downloading a DOF calculator. I had the same missed focus problems until i really got down and started researching DOF and realized shooting wide open isn't always good. Hope this helps ;) pretty model btw looking forward to the December sessions :)

In the second picture, the blue rails on the right and green hedges on the left play nicely into the dress.. And the red with her lipstick, I would like to have seen that taken advantage of a bit more.

Also the spacing between the bottom of the foot and head is so radically different, it drive me insane.

Framing is my pet-peve, I have no idea about lighting and "softness", but the second picture has amazing potential.

You like green skin?

They both look soft and are pretty blah, color and light wise. And green skin only looks good on ETs... :)
