C & C on a couple pictures

First off, I have two pictures of my daughters I wanted to share and I would like to get some C&C on the first. I personally like the first picture other than the fact that the lower left corner is a bit blown out. Please tell me if I am wrong, but I like the composition and mood. The second picture of my youngest daughter was just in my eyes.

I also included a close-up of some graffiti on a local rail car. Please let me know what you think.

I like #1 a lot. The DoF is appropriate to the subject, and I like the non-traditional cropping. It's a shame that her eyes sit so deeply in shadow, but it suits the mood. I also like #3 a lot but for different reasons.

#1 is a nice definately a nice picture. A bit of fill light would have been great though imo.

I find that thing behind her head in #1 is distracting. Lighting is a bit harsh as well.

#3 is cool, great color palate there!

Thanks for the replies. I still have a ton of learning to do and I am starting to notice some of the errors.

Photocist- you are right about the top part of the #1 being a little distracting. My eyes can't help but glance to the top every time that I look at the picture. One I get some editing software I will start taking multiple exposures of the same shot and do some post processing.
