C&C on my PP?

Had a few pictures from our hike up Bishops Peak in San Luis Obispo, CA the other day and I attempted to do some basic PP on them... other than the shadows from the photographer, are there any recommendations for improving these photos? Is the PP too over the top?

They look much better if that helps any. The colors are more vibrant and true. How did they look so washed out/dull to begin with? Sorry I'm not even sure those are correct terms to describe the originals. At least now, they're snap shots from the trip that are worth keeping.

There is a blue tint on my LCD.But this isn't a calibrated monitor.For the first picture,it could help if the shadows isnt there.The edited pictures are lacking in contrast and wrong WB.Somehow,i think the editing made it worst.I have no idea in what way the editing helps the picture.The picture is exposed properly already
