Can others edit my Photos

I admit it...most of my shots are mom-with-camera type, though I am trying to move beyond that. so I love this one because I love my baby, etc, etc.
that said, even I know it needs help. or rather, I need help. because I am consistently making the same mistake. its really soft. is it the focus? or lack of proper lighting? am I cropping too much and tossing too many pixels? the print looks even worse.
thanks for any and all comments

You need to back up and prevent the distortion, someone with a full face I would have gone to the longest focal length to slim down the face. Long lenses have a natural tendency to do this as well as blur the background. Keep from doing too much post processing, if you can change your setting to Cloudy and see if the skin tones are to your liking when outdoors.

shoot well, Joe

thanks for the links mishele!

joealcantar- back up to prevent distortion...ok, that makes sense now that you mention it. I was trying to get close. I guess somewhere between is that sweet spot, eh?
will also play around with the 'cloudy' setting. I dont do too much pp, right now am focusing on learning to get a decent shot and then will work on learning more on pp. alot to learn.

I'm on my phone as the kids and I are at a indoor trampoline place (ohh the joys of motherhood) but when I get home I'll post some links for you that focus on taking the typical MWC to the next level.

From on MWC to another, your daughter is a cutie pie.

It is a beautiful picture of a beautiful little girl, I would say you shouldn't of cropped all her hair out though :)

thanks mwc2!

yeah, I have cropping issues. or rather, framing issues. I sacrificed some of her hair to get rid of distracting background.
thanks for taking the time to comment and thanks for complimenting my beautiful little girl...I'm a sucker for any offspring-related kind words :)
