Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Here's a few shots I took randomly around the house and garden. Would just like to see what other's think, I am quite proud of them as a newbie to photography. Be honest please :-)

This is a dark rainy afternoon as viewed thru the window:

This is a pretty flower (or possibly a weed, who knows) that was in my garden:

And finally: some ripening blackberries:

I under-exposed them and thought the colours looked more vibrant.

C&C per req:

1. The problem here is that it's a photo of the window, not of the dark, rainy afternoon. I think that for this to work, the focus should have been on the scene outside the window, not the window itself. Either that, use a window which shows the rain more clearly and doesn't have any sort of distractions in teh background, say just dark clouds or something like that.

2. Not bad, a bit under-exposed, but that's easily fixed in post. I would suggest cropping down to focus on one, sharply focused bloom cluster.

3. The colours do look vibrant, BUT you've got a LOT fo flash reflection in the fruit. At the very least you want to put a diffuser over your pop-up flash, even something as simple as a piece of tissue-paper to help reduce the glare. Also consider using a smaller aperture (larger f#) to increase the depth of field and render more of the scene in shapr focus. Here you have the berries and tendril just right of image centre in focus and everything else is slightly soft.

Keep practicing, keep posting!

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

thanks for the feedback - in #3 I was intending everything to be out of focus apart from the berries themselves. Helpful tip tho what you said about the aperture. Thanks very much :-)
