I like the first one. The wb on the second one seems off. As far as the first being underexposed. I think the whole overexposed/underexposed thing is personal preference. Some people like them a little on the dark side and vice versa.
White Balance seems off.

PLEASE take 10 seconds to see through the stupid mechanical goggles you all have glued to your face and see what the choices in WB and other such things do to the overall effect of the image.

I understand what he was going for with his choice of color but, artful or not, they just don't do it for me. Number one is too dark and has so many different elements that it seems busy. Number two has such a heavy vignette. The call for attention to he guitars seems fabricated, forced.

"Not doing it FOR YOU" is a matter of TASTE and should be expressed as such.
What you happen to like or not like is COMPLETELY different from whether or not someone has effectively rendered an artistic interpretation or not.
