C&C These two B&W portraits please!

Here are two portraits I took of my parents, on real black and white stock (Fujifilm Neopan 100). This is my first roll on black and white. I took these a couple months ago and forgot to post them, so I've now forgotten the camera settings, sorry.

#1- It's a common mistake. The subject should be looking in the direction were you should have left more space.
#2 Try putting your camera vertically, in portrait.
Overall it's OK. They don't say much but would fit a family album
