I don't see many opportunity to convert flowers to B & W but seeing this one was basically two colors and tone, I gave it a go. Not 100% sold on it but that is the nature of converting flowers in my opinion. I am often left with an uneasy feeling which kind of leads to ponder if the conversion is successful.

Just a compositional idea.

Take a look at the left and right sides isolated:

Look at the balance of light and dark, they almost balance out as positive and negative. So what would happen if you centred the flower and balanced the image purely in terms of light and dark instead of shape and line?
