Just to ask, FX vs DX for wildlife(birds,running dogs)? Becouse i can buy a used D700 for the same price as a new 7D or D7000

This is true, however I get the feeling that many fullframe cameras are now getting good enough that you can crop to the similar 1.6 crop image view with them and still get very very good (if not maybe oneday better) quality results. Fullframe cameras also tended to have weaker AF systems (esp Canon side) (excluding top range bodies) however even that is slowly changing.

I want to add that I shoot with the 7D and I often choose it over my 1D3 because of the reach. The 1D3 is a little larger sensor and better quality, but the noise in my 7d isn't bad enough I can't get rid of it at ISO 12800

Nikon D800 + Sigma 120-300mm F/2.8 EX DG HSM APO IF OS. This will effectively give you a 120-450mm F/2.8 lens (at a minimum of 15MP) WITH 4-stop stabilization. Other than that, D7k and 7D are good options with the same lens for wildlife. But, there will likely be a replacement for the pair of them relatively shortly.

Mark - can the OP afford that? The 120-300mm OS edition is something like $3.2K and they've only got a $3.5K budget last I saw. If they can its the better option, but the linked examples I showed earlier for the original version of that lens (without the OS) would be my suggestion. Cheaper and leaving enough of the budget to fit a good quality camera.

The OS can be had on ebay for $2300. $2300 + $900ish for the D7k = $3.2k I think the OS in a lens like this would be more than worth the extra dough.

I would too! I NEED the lens more than a better camera.
