I have a question about hauling my camera around on my motorcycle.I have a Cannon Powershot SX50HS and want to take it on my motorcycle trips. While my bike rides pretty well there is a light high frequency vibration that is a constant. Can this cause any damage to my camera?Ok I'll man up it is an unused camera that belongs to my wife and I want it but she says it will damage this camera and that we should leave it in the closet.

Id risk it, its not bone china.

My old Sony DSC-H9 has been from one side of the country to the other on my bikes. It normally rode in my tank bag or tail bag. 25+ States over several years and it never gave me any problems.

.. there is a light high frequency vibration ..
A vibration shouldn't have any effect. A hard bump would do lots more damage. So don't drop your camera on the pavement and it should be o.k.

I always used to line my bags with a bath towel, just wrap the camera and toss it in. Had no issues at all, and that was on a Harley with way more vibration than yours.
