Camera Selection Help

So I need a new "work" camera, no no, not for any real photography, more just taking pictures for work, lots of photos.

SO...here are the requirements i need, 5x zoom, min 10 megapixels, and it need to "refresh" quickly, in order to take a number of photos.

I take a photos both indoors and out, with flash and without, so it all needs to be quick.

Frills are not needed, as we take just photos of equipment, buildings, etc

any help in the right direction is appreciated.

Canon G12 and Nikon D3100 come to mind.
