Is a connector available to adapt a slotted connection on the camera to swivel hook on the strap? I've had rings attached to the slots and it doesn't work very well. Thanks.

None I that I know of. If you want to attach the camera by the slotted straps the peak design slide would probably be the best choice.

Time for a strap upgrade perhaps? Metal-to metal will likely chew the $hit out of your camera. I’d visit a shop with an assortment of backpacking/hiking stuff and look for straps and plastic hardware for a homebrew solution.

I'd agree with the plastic route too. There's loads of stuff on the likes of eBay that could be used as a make and make do.

I'd never heard of them but their stuff looks very interesting. Thanks for the link, I'm gonna have a closer look.

I have the style that screws into the tripod mount in the bottom of the camera body. I love mine and have zero complaints.

Do you have the basic one or the Pro one? Seems the Pro one is more suited to the bulk and weight of DSLR and larger lenses. Not cheap mind but what price camera security?

Now you're asking hard questions...

I've had mine for several years now and don't recall the specific model, I'll have to check when I get out of work.

Thank you. The Pro version seems to carry up to 5kg so more suited to my wildlife camera/lens combinations.

Look for heavy duty split rings made for fishing.
