Camera Suggestion?

I am a relative noob to photography and im looking for a good camera to start.

I have your standard point and shoot but im looking to graduate to something with a bit more advanced features etc.

I dont have much money to spend so im lookin for an older, budget camera. I am not really aspiring to be a professional photographer or anything like that but I would just like to have a solid camera that I could take with me every day, and wouldnt require much gear to be transported along with it.

Any suggestions?

You might want to consider one of the advanced point and shoot cameras like the Canon SX10is or something along those lines. Many of the features of a DSLR without having to fork out lots of money for different lenses.
