I tried posting in the Nikon section but haven't received any response. I have a D40 and a SB800 with an umbrella. I posted some portrait shots and asked for advice on improvement along with any additional pieces of equipment I should look into for my camera and I was told about the AS-15. I looked up the as-15 and figured, sweet, I can run a PC cord to my sb and not have issues with my built in flash reaching the sb in SU-4 mode. Now that I have the as-15, it's saying that it's not compatible with TTL. I see now that there is a AS-10, which is a TTL adapter and on the nikon site it said it can be plugged into the hot shoe. Considering that the SB800 is a flash that uses TTL, do I need to exchange my AS-15 for an AS-10? Or can I still use my sb800 with the AS-15. Thanks

Probably just going to look into the sc-28 and return the as-15. The sc-28 is a TTL compatible hot shoe to flash adapter so that's what I should need.
