Can anyone identify this canon lens? It was stated a 28-200, but I dont know.

I might be mistaken, but that looks like a red line around that lens...package deal for sale in a classified ad for 80.00...quoted as a 28-200mm lens... with a film Rebel K2

Yes, that is a red line.

I do not think that is a Canon EF L type lens ... especially for $80.00
A lot of third party lens manufactures used the red line to show there better than normal lenses.

Surely you can contact the classfield advertiser to confirm to the name and properties of the lens itself - heck get them to take a further pic to show the label and lens name.

It's actually a "Sigma". I don't know how canon let them use the red ring but here she is!

You ruined my dreams for the best deal on a lens ever!!! That is indeed the lens. I may pick it up just to throw on my old Canon XSi to sell. Seems to get a little more bundled.

No, it cannot be a DC lens ... the Rebel 35mm cameras require a full frame lens ... though I do believe it still could be an older Sigma lens.

I agree with Overread, and have the seller confirm the brand/specs or provide a better image.
