can anyone tell me why I cant view some peoples pictures they have posted on a thread

I realy enjoy this forum and I love looking at other peoples work but... some threads have pictures and I cant view them as there is a box with a red cross in it. Does anyone know if this as an issue with my computer or something else? Just thought id put it out there incase someone else has experienced the same thing!

Most of the times, a box with the red x means the OP has either removed the photos or didn't upload them properly to begin with.

It could also be your security settings blocking any files from third party sites.

If you can post a link to a specific thread where you are seeing red x's, we could let you know if we see them or if it is a setting on your end.

Are you looking at older threads & posts?

As mentioned, when you see the red X, it usually means that the photo has been moved or deleted from it's host site.
This forums doesn't really allow for members to upload photos directly, so they use off-site hosts. That system works well, but if say, 5 years later, the person changes the photos on their host site, the links back on the forum will be broken.

So looking through old posts will always be hit and miss.
