Can someone help me analyze a pair of photos?

I have a pair of comparable photos (they are not copyrighted) that I would like a more expert/professional photographer (I myself am not a photographer) to help me analyze and give an opinion on. There seems to me a notable discrepancy that I cannot understand that is why I'd like to get the perspective from a photographer.
