Can You Retouching This??

Bored at work and looking to explore other ways of retouching this image. This is the original image with no retouching, just cropped and resized for web posting reasons...Feel free to retouch and tell me what you did in a nut shell....

main thing I did was knock down the distractingly bright background, poorly cut in I know, but you get the idea of what I am trying to say.

Did some clarity changes, contrast changes, and stuff around the eyes.

Added a black and white layer with a sepia tone, opacity at around 85%
Curves adjustment, little bit sharpening

Here's my go at it

just some low key simple stuff

1. desaturated background and sharpened image
2.fixed funny lights in eyes and added catchlights
3.made eyes 2% larger
4.sharpened eyes more
5. removed dark circles from eyes
6.added a bit of a SMILE!!!!!!

Blurred the background and desaturated it a bit and also sharpened the guy just a tad and cropped...

I think the original and the last are the best versions out of all to be honest. Don't over do things OP. Keep it nice and simple

I agree...I think the most i would do is just smooth out his skin texture to even out teh skin tones and an auto curve adjustment
