CAnnot convert RAW Files

I have a new D90. Currently runnign Litghroom 2.5 and CS3 with updated Camera RAW. I also have Nikon Capture NX and DNG Converter.

Problem is, I have a file of photos. WhenI load them in lightroom, it only picks up 64 of the 300 files. Some when I try the DNG converter. Saysthe other are not recognizeable.

Please help.

Ive talked with my local camera/computer place. Ive Googled. Ive searched.

What could be causeing this? What can I do?

Can anyone reccommend a recovery program if that is what I shoudl be doing?

Does sound like a memory card failure if it read 64 of em. Are you on a mac or pc ?

PC, and this is happening on more than 1 card. I always format the cards as well. Also, I can see the thumbnails on my computer. I had one card where I shot Raw+jpeg, and the jpegs are fine.

I had a weird case with opening some olympus files a while ago. Changing the USB cable to the card reader f all things helped that. I kept getting unrecognised file type errors in Photoshop when trying to open just some of them.
