Canon 10-22 and 40mm (or 50) for traveling?

Hey guys,

I have a Rebel T2i, and will be studying abroad in Italy this coming semester. I plan on bringing my 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 for sure. My mom just ordered a 40mm lens for herself, and as soon as she gets it, I am going to try it to see how it compares to the 50mm that I have used before. Regardless of which one I get, would I be ok going around Europe with just the 10-22mm and the 40/50? Ideally, I am trying to carry as few things as possible. Thanks!

Only you can answer that. You might feel a bit limited when trying to photograph smaller things that are further away...that would bother some people, but not others.
