Canon 1000D Connection to Mac

Hi

I have seen some photographers connect their DSLR directly into an Apple Mac computer rather than use a memory card to save the pictures they are taking. Is it possible to do this with the Canon 1000D? If so please explain how.

Can't tell you if it will work with a Mac, but it should if the software is available.
