Canon 350D & Football Shots, Will it cope?

Hey!

Well I am on the verge of purchasing a Canon 350D, and the appropiate lenses, but will the ISO and Shutter Speed or the overall camera be able to cope with football shots?

All opinions wanted please...

It can go upto 1/4000 s shutter speed. In good lighting thats fast enough I would say(taking into acount aperture and ISO. I don't know about when it's floodlit, a good lens will be needed.

It's not so much the camera, as it is the lens.

A 350D with a slow zoom lens (F4-5.6) won't do much good unless it's quite bright. A fast zoom (F2.8 ) or prime lens will make all the difference...but they will cost more than the camera.

Right, Okay. Well im definately going to get a Canon 350D then, and purchase the nessacary lenses. Thanks All!
