I know it's not the best but target is running them at half price. I picked one up for 150.00 yesterday. So if anyone is looking for a great deal on a budget telephoto. It's onsale until the 4th. In store only. I will let you know how it does. For that price and the reviews I have read seems like it will be ok.

Sorry as I said above. It is in store only. Call your local store. Someone told me you can go to the website and select your local store and search that way but they are not offering that price online. It would just be to check stock. Good luck. I think it's a great deal I drove an hour to get it.

Heh freaking awesome. I call up Target and make sure the same sale is going on here. It sure is. I find out if they have any in stock. They sure do. I call up Best Buy. Tell them about the sale Target is having. I ask if they price match and they do. I go to Best Buy, get a $299.99 lens for $124.48 after taxes and my $35 Reward Zone certificate I earned when getting my T3i. Then after the points for charging the lens on my RewardZone Mastercard it will be even less! I will wind up getting another like $10 in certificates. I think I made out pretty damn good! Thank you so very much for this tip! I am completely stoked! But now I need a new camera bag my little tinsy one wont hold that "big" lens!

Glad I could help. In my opinion it was a darn good deal. I only wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere. So I could have price matched but still I am happy. I have 350.00 invested and have a pawn shop find rebel xt 100.00 150.00 for my 55-250 a bag a 4 gig card a USB cable and tripod. Of course the camera came with the 18-55. If I come across any other deals I will let you know!

my Target is full price :(

Did you check online or go into the store? I was told it was in store price only. Also, try calling and asking the clerk to check the price manually. When I worked at a large electronics retailer sometimes the people who were supposed to put out the sale tags were too lazy and just dropped half of them in the garbage. Definitely call and/or go back to the store and have them double check the price. Especially if it is not too far away.
