canon 60d or Nikon d7000

I have the D7000 but I'm waiting for a D700 upgrade, and (maybe ubnfairly) getting impatient.

I'm completely completely biased! But it has to be the Nikon D7000. Beautiful camera, wonderful sensor performance, great build aswell. And I don't feel now that the video is such a big issue, 24FPS HD is the thing people use DSLR video for mainly anyway. If your a VIDEO PRO though get the Canon, if your put photography first the D7000 is the one I would get.

But at same time, as I've said before you won't always get the best advice by posing Canon vs Nikon questions, because as you can tell alot of us here are biased to one brand or the other. My only real reason for Preferring Nikon is due to the fact the ergonomics feel better to me, Canon feels a bit clunky in its design. But I'm aware this is purely my own personal opinion!

I have to agree with Josh - people do tend to end up pretty much in the camp of whoever makes their gear. Personally, I looked at the 60D before I picked up my 7D, and I wasn't impressed at all, for me felt cheap and plasticky, tho the video was superb, but I don't shoot any video. Depends how much video you plan to shoot v stills I guess.

canon 60D for sure =]
No disrespect intended Gerald, but I have noticed alot of your posts have involved saying 'Buy Canon, they are the brand to buy!'

I really think you would love the DP review forums, they have endless wars over which brand is ''Better!''
