Canon EFS 10-18 v. Sigma 10-20

Hi I am asking for a friend who cannot decide. He really is liking the sigma 10-18mm f/3.5 but the price is a little high. Is the canon 10-18mm comparable to the sigma 10-20mm ? He is strictly looking to shoot landscapes and is quite new to photography - he has the 77D canon body

get a refurbished Canon 10-18 - $199 which includes the one year warranty

The sigma is better between 18 and 20 :)

Seriously though, the canon should be great as long as it isn't abused. It's a light weight lightly built lens. It's normally better to buy own brand lenses where possible
 
I think you should chose the Canon. yes it has a plastic mount so whaat. It's Canon and it has the image profile correction to corect in video mode and jpeg.
