I am so new at this you will want to laugh at me!! Thats OK though. I am in the process of buying a Canon T5i. I already purchased a 100-300mm lens. Now where I am troubled at is, do I buy the t5i with the 18-55mm lens or just the camera body and get a fixed 50mm len just for indoor use. I was told the the fixed lens will give me better quality pics. I am open for suggestions. Thank you, Ken

Lens choice is mostly based on what you shoot, and you haven't told us that.

I like the 18-55mm stm on the T5i. The 50 mm primes are nice, but you will need some room to back up indoors if you are shooting people.

I plan on using the 100-300 lens for nature shots. I was thinking another lens for family photos. Might be indoor or outdoors. If I am at a wedding. I guess I was just thinking more for closer shots.
