Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I currently have a T2i (will be upgrading to the Mark II shortly) I am looking at a lens to add to my collection, I curentlly love shooting with my 8-15mm Canon L lens, I have decided I want to get a 24-70mm lens, but can not decide between the older Canon L 24-70mm or the Tamron 24-70mm. I do like the fact that the Tamron does have image stabilization as I like to do alot of night photography and don't always have my tripod with me. Was wondering what you guys on the forum suggest.

Well, at that focal range the IS isn't really all that necessary. If you are at a shutter of 1/focal length you are at the minimum to control shake.
For long exposures the IS/VR won't help you either, that's a tripod thing. So... I'd go with the canon older version first.
Now if the Tamron drops to an appropriate price it will be well worth it.

I have the Canon version and I use it alot.

that tammy is getting savage reviews though
