Interesting. I do have 2 bankers boxes filled with older dig PnS's from work. I'm sure there must be at least a dozen Canon's.

I use CHDK on a Canon SX260. The SX260 requires CHDK on a SD card and load it everytime you power up the camera. I've gotten it to produce RAW files, but they are not standard RAW and nothing could read them that I tried. Your link says Lightroom works, but I don't have that.

That said, CHDK does a lot of cool stuff. It can trigger shutter on motion detection. I've gotten a lot of up close bird feeder shots that way. Theoretically it could take lightning shots with this feature. It can take a set of HDR photos you can post process. CHDK can do many more things and worth checking out.
