Canon quartz date back

I got this and a standard back with my EOS 650. Nowadays with Flickr and online photo albums and such, does anyone think I will ever have a use for little dates on the corner of my pictures?

Store it? Put it on the camera, set to "off", but have it on there "just in case"? See how much I can get for it on eBay?

I certainly don't want a little date to show up in the corners of my photos, that's why I never changed the little battery in the date back on my EOS 650.

I don't really think you could get much for it on E-bay, so I'd just turn it off and forget it's there.
