CanoScan 8000F, any experiences?

Hello,

After I've had my analog camera for a while I've decided that I want a negative scanner. From the posts on this forum I found out that the Epson V500, V600 and V700 are quite decent but they are a bit out of my price range. So now I've found the CanoScan 8000F for 65 euros secondhand and I was wondering if anyone had some experience with this scanner and would like to share it. Thanks.

I could not wait any longer and have decided to buy the secondhand Canoscan 8000F. I got for 40 euros.
Now I'm vigorously scanning every piece of negative I can find and trying different settings for the scan.
What surprised me was that this older scanner works perfectly on my new Macbook pro. Another thing I noticed was that most of the negatives I scanned so far came out quite grainy although I've enabled dust removal and the unsharp mask.
