can't update firmware on fuji x100

hi all

anyone here have this camera and updated the firmware? i found the update and downloaded on a formatted card. the problem is it is supposed to be the case that when you turn on the camera and then press disp/back button, it shows firmware and options to change it. my camera doesn't show this. it just shows different types of displays with aperture and shutter count data among other things. any other way to see what the firmware is and or update it? thanks a lot

Hold display while you hit the power button and it should work. Should have the instructions on the page where you downloaded the update.
