Card Magician

A good friend of mine is employed as a resident closeup magician, and whilst enjoying some wine id thought id take some shots.
Some of these were shot using a wide open aperture at high ISO so plenty of grain to go around. The other were with built-in (grrr shudder) flash in AV mode with a bit of lag for nice effect. It was a busy night and so I tried to get nice shots and not spill pints over everyone!
Not that great but thought id share Cant really remember my method or thinking! ;-)

#1 is great, imo.
I love the concept of #2, but find the background distractingly noisy.
The others... I'm ambivalent. I find #5 especially is too dark, and the others just so busy that they take away from the overall photo.

Nice shots though, and wonderful concept.
