Cardinal & Hawk IF

Nice. I recently saw a hawk here on Cape Cod Canal. I am trying to spot it's usual places and maybe find a spot to shoot/ capture him. HHHMMM, it almost sounds like I want to do them harm,. But anyway...
The cardinal is great between those branches, good capture.

(For a laugh, in Florida campground before we left in March... I spotted a hawk nest a few campsites down from us. Day 1, looked and looked, told anyone who asked - what are you looking at.. Day 2 and 3 and4. Finally, some woman said, ' didn't you see them yesterday? "
I was so anxious to see the hatchlings, it we left before that happened.)
Some people just don't get it, and it's ok....

Thanks Nancy. A couple hawks been flying over my yard the past few days and this morning I found a small bird dead on the lawn that has had its insides eaten. Not sure the hawk did that but seems they are hunting around. I hope to get one perched up close if they ever land close by.

Beautiful BIF Dave, beautiful subject. Handled those shadows really well in that Hawk, nice work. Ahhh .... Cardinals, those and Bluejays I want to get to see up your way, the colours in the Cardinal is just gorgeous Dave, a fine sharp shot and a good head turn, love the eye contact.

All the best David, nice shooting there.

Danny.

Thanks Danny. if your ever out this way, it would be my pleasure to show you where they are but your be better off with CoastalConn, he seems to have a plethora of species up his way.

Beautiful shots David, I just love the hawk. You can take a tip or two from me though, I took a this shot a few days back and thinking of sending it to Nat Geo, can you identify the species? :-P
