I did a bit of manipulation with the blur to get a better DOF, how does it look? Also, the color? I'm using an uncalibrated monitor.

just realized...is this picture dark as hell?

I'm working on an uncalibrated mac, and this photo probably appears really dark, and underexposed. Right?

Personally I like the contrast of red against the green makes the bird more vibrant. Wish you got some of his tail feathers though.

I like the dark backround on it (with the hint of leaves visible). And as stock photos said, the red cardinal stands out very well against the green leaves. I like where you placed the bird in the shot, too. Nicely done.
