Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hello! I am a beginner and I would love some critiques on a couple photos I took this weekend at the county fair! I edited in camera raw a little bit.

Well your exposure is about right, but thats all there really is to critique. There is no composition, no focal point at all that I see.

I tend to agree with Ryan. Pictures need to tell a story or convey emotion - I don't get either aspect here. Exposure is okay, focus is okay, but other than that they just appear to be snap shots. As a beginner, you might want to look at some web sites that cover composition - just Google "photography composition rules" and have a look at some of the web sites that you get back from the search - there will be at least 10 million of them, but look through the first dozen or so - you will find recurring ideas.

Cheers,

WesternGuy

I agree with Ryan L and WesternGuy. And a hint: the rides are better photographed at night when they are all lit up; use a slow shutter speed for some awesome effects.

Thanks! I will definitely try that. I've been focusing a lot on exposure and focus, so once I get that down I plan to focus more on composition.
