Caught 2 Moon shots!

Was lucky enough to catch these two planes crossing the moon the other night. So many others were off the target! Darn pilots!

US Airways is my favorite! I was zoomed in on these pics for a while. You can see the craters in the moon very clearly in the bottom right to get a perspective of their size. You can also see engine exhaust! Love it!

1Dx with 500mm f4 IS II with 1.4TC III (700mm total) handheld

Even with that much lens these are still cropped heavily!
My buddy had a 2x on his 500mm plus was using a 1D mk4 (1300mm total) and used a tripod. He had to crop his a lot less!
We both picked up lot of atmospheric distortion as the plane was probably a mile away.
