CC - Photos Griffith Observatory

I'd really appreciate some CC on composition, technical and anything else for the following photos. I took them yesterday at the Griffith Observatory in LA. I really need a tripod!!!!

The telescope shot would be nicer if pointed upward at the stars, eh? The umbrellas are very nice but the yellow sunset distracts, would be really a good shot if it were even ble colored with the black umbrellas!

The sky is blown out in #1. If you had used flash in FP or HSS sync mode, off camera from up in the upper right corner, to light the steps and inner wall you could have exposed the sky properly.

#2 and #3 have me scratching my head wondering what you were wanting to accomplish :scratch:.

#4 with the telescope ponited up and from a lower, somewhat more to the right camera position so all of the telescope was highlighted against the sky and the railing couldn't be seen.....

#5 would have looked cool with flash units lighting the inside of the umbrellas.

#6 you needed to be closer, but you can crop it and get the same thing.
