Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
No snow that sticks to the ground, which is kind of depressing. However, last monday and Thanksgiving day were strangely warm and rainy. That's when these pictures are from.

1. EDITED VERSION - got rid of the bright spots on the ground.

2.

3.

4.

I like the feel I am getting from these photos, it sort of reminds me of what I do with photos, but now I am trying to change my style a bit. 3 and 4 are ones that I like the most.they both have that feel..idk its hard to explain

#1 and 4- through a car window? toss them or else edit them heavily to be artistic on purpose. currently they just look poorly taken

#2- the glare on top of the subject ruins the photo

#3 is almost the same as #2 but better. I'd crop this vertical to put more focus on the subject.

I think 3 would be super good if she was mid stride or some sort of pose, all I see is that she is standing where you told her to and is not happy about being in the rain.
I like the look of 4, "old" looking photos are becoming popular.

Thanks guys!

1 and 4... yep, through the window. We have a fairly long drive on Thanksgiving day. :) They are quite heavily edited, which was why I wasn't sure about them.

3 seems to be the winner of the batch! Taking your advice, flyingember:

Originally, I had cropped it that way on purpose to leave some trees on both sides.

I really like #1. I love the composition, and it really conveys a moodiness to that lonely stand of trees. I think if you can clone out the bright spots in the lower third (on the ground) you'll have a real winner that won't seem like it was shot through a window.

the trees aren't your subject. this brings focus onto your subject. she's blurry but this is better composition

the window ones can work if you treat them as a starting point. I don't like editing for editing's safe but in this case taking them and going wild with filters may turn out something neat

no. 1 is really awesome. It kind of gives the feeling of a nice hazy day without any obligations. It has this very calm atmosphere. It also looks a bit like a polaroid.
no. 2 and no. 3 look too artificial too me, just a matter of taste I guess.
no. 4 has sort of the same look as no. 1 but because of the blurred road it gives me this feeling of hurry.

She's me (no one would come stand out in the rain...), and I was not happy about it being too dark to see where anything was. :)

Good point. ;)

15 second exposure. But yeah, I know it's not desirable.

#1 is by far the best for me. I've seen some minimalist images like this from several well-known photographers (who apparently are not sufficiently well-known to me because I can't remember their names). At least one of them was Japanese and I associate this style with artists from Japan.

I really like #1 too. Nice!

 This made me laugh!

Thank you. I have a few more of the minimalist ones that I finished just today, I could post them here if you wish. I'm not sure on forum etiquette in regards to posting later in a CC thread... it could be annoying.

People do it all the time. In any event, there are all sorts of threads with really really annoying behavior, so don't worry so much.

aha ok! I'll do it and make my contribution to the annoying threads.
