NONE! ..and if you think my opinion is the exception, then I dare you to ask this 'Should I watermark my photos?' up as a separate thread. c'mon I dare you!

So instead of being humorous, why don't you explain more on your opinion on watemarks.

And I like the crop on the photo that is a good suggestion.

What kind of camera are you using?

I know I know....the feet.... Lol I use a Nikon D5000

Just do as I suggested, and start a thread 'Should I use watermarks?'. Then instead of getting your neck hair all twisted just sit back and read the ccomments. You are in business, and anything that distracts from your product costs you money....nobody pays for an ego. Is that humorless enough?

There's a place for watermarks, I don't think that people photography is it. It becomes a huge distraction, specially when showing your pictures to the client.
A lot of people use watermarks to protect their product, but since you are going to show these pictures directly to the client, just show them on a computer or ipad instead. That way they can't steal your work, and you can show them the pictures without the huge distraction in it.

I sometimes use watermarks if i'm uploading some of my pictures to FB, but not very often. If anything, I mostly do it for credit.

Well with all do respect Didereaux I don't sell any of my prints with the watermark I only put it on the ones I post online. everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

I do show my clients on my iPad with out the watermark. The photo I put my marks on is the ones I upload to fb.

FWIW, I generally put watermarks on anything I post online. My preference is for something understated, and very simple, and I like to think I've met that with mine, I simply put mine at the lower left with the year and my name (still says 2014 though) with a blurred shadow and about an 80% opacity.

Also I drop the resolution down when posting to make it unsuitable for any serious print.

I have to admit I don't care for the WM used in these images ... little distracting for me ... would try using something with no graphics, and just text, and one line & see how you like it.

It's your business and you run it the way you want it. I've seen very successful photographers that make way over 6 figures with watermark and some don't. . To each their own.

Who would ever use a mustache as a watermark. That's the worst idea ever.
