I'm not real crazy about the pose.

I agree that the pose does seem a bit contrived and I find the clash of colours a bit jarring, but the main thing is that the shoes seem at odds with the dress. I think there's some great potential, and this is by no means a bad shot, but there are some areas where it could be improved.

the areas above and below the yellow of the bus are a huge distraction. Posed differently and framed within the confines of the yellow, perhaps!

It looks to me like you do have good exposure, and a nice sharp focus!

I'm not a fan of her dress and shoes, but my sister would love that outfit! So I think that's personal taste.

the bus is a cool backdrop, the model could be shot from a few diff angles and perhaps a tight crop would remove some distractions? got to try

I think the pose in on the right track, but when doing poses like this the model needs to exaggerate her body shape. Her back should be arched back some more, boobs and bums should be pushed out and the angle of the bend in the elbows and knees should more pronounced.

I think it's a good try, but these things always get better with practice - keep doing stuff like this and exaggerating body shapes more than you think you should and you will have much more "high fashion" looking shots.

It's great that you're trying this stuff though - it all builds experience and confidence!

Crop out the TREES. Yes, you lose a little of the bus, but nothing of value and by doing so you keep the 'circus' effect...the tree completely detracts from your intentions I think.

ps: lose that gawdawful watermark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!!! It took me for ever to get her to be comfortable with me! I opened up to her and everything, then when I tried to make her pose in uncomfortable poses she looked at me like I was crazy! I told her to just trust me! I think it was the best I could get out of her! It could have been the dress though as soon as she did an outfit change she totally changed!

NONE! ..and if you think my opinion is the exception, then I dare you to ask this 'Should I watermark my photos?' up as a separate thread. c'mon I dare you!
