My camera does not have enough dynamic range for this shot. :(

Your camera may not have the dynamic range you would like for this shot but I think it turned out really well, just like your other shots. The DOF is nice. The focus is good. I actually like the shadow across his chest and head. The bright tail is good. The leaf just in front of him is a bit bright and maybe you could burn that and the bright area in the background around the bright leaf. Other than that I think it is a lovely shot.

I'd say it's a pretty good capture Ron; crop it a little more tightly and do some dodging around the eye, and it will look fine!

The burn tool allows you to darken bright areas and the dodge tool allows you to lighten dark areas. Very nice shot by the way.

You do very well, not having the use of selective, sharping, dogging, and burning . with birds that have a dark eye, I almost always loose the eye to Blocked black, and have to bring it back in post, again you've done well!

I look forward to seeing what you have managed to capture. I only wish we half the wild life around our home as you have. Great shot!

Don't feel bad, I've probably thrown away more shots of Cedars than almost any other bird.... They always seem to land in the worst (i.e. - dynamic) places to photograph.

I've currently got about two dozen photos of these guys, and this is still the best I could muster (with a heavy crop)....
