Mrs. Barbarian and I spent a few days there on a road trip a couple of years ago. I don't know everything about its past, but I can tell you that the people there are uniformly friendly and hospitable. Love that town.

I agree it os a very pleasant place, as is much of South Carolina. All areas are equally tainted in my book. Ever been to silicone valley?? Serious taint
