Photos NOT OK to edit
Hope to post a few digital photos here from a trip to Charleston back in November... appreciate any comments / thoughts / recommendations for improvement...this first one is one of the old Episcopal churches downtown (that ironically has split from the Episcopal church) photo was taken as the sun was setting (personally I love the light) with a Nikon d810 and a Sigma 50mm 1.4 art lens..

and this shot of King Street during the day.... I cropped it to create this image which I rather liked because of how the different people lined up across the field of view... Nikon d810 @ is0250 Sigma 50mm 1.4 art

Thanks for the kind words.... Charleston is a great place for photography..

I love Charleston. Being a history nerd who loves photography the city/area is paradise for me. That's one of the reasons I plan on moving there in May. (As long as the sake of my Tx house doesn't fall through)

Wish you the best on the move... I share similar interests and agree that Charleston is at the top of the list of Southern locations to combine those two interests.... I had visited New Orleans often and this trip (Fall 2014) to Charleston was my first... Charleston to me had the feel of an English New Orleans.... without the filth, and crime and ..well you know what I mean I think... the constant stream of tourists and college students seems like it will provide a continuous supply of interesting people for street photography as well... something that is tough to come by in most Southern suburban settings... Look forward to seeing Charleston photos from you in the future !
