Hello,

went out with camera for the first time since our Tuesday "incident" .. went a very late, just perhaps 45 minutes before the blue hour which was not about to happen because of grey clouds everywhere .. I was so avid to shoot something .... because I didn't have time I had gone to nearby Chateau Veltrusy and did there this shot .. I almost feel to apologize for it .. for to presenting the shot without light, without dramatic sky and without other perks too ..

thank you very much for your feedback !!

cheers, ~dan

ps. I was originally blending two exposures but changed my mind because why to show just a grey sky so I did lighten up image instead and added contrast and even left there few places with clipped highlights ...

Lovely building - I have included a dramatic sky for you & a few other tweaks - Just for fun :) :)

lovely ... may I ask, how did you do it ? I know it's from another photo but did you do it with some (complex) plugin elsewhere or somehow manually good'old'handwork ?

Wonderful looking place! Nice shot! Some of us wouldn't mind living away from the city center, or suburbia for that matter.... :)

Good old Photoshop skills I'm afraid - if you have Photoshop 2022, there are a few tutorials on YouTube on Sky replacement, easy enough to do using layers etc

Glad you liked it :)

I can do it .. I know the principle ... but your picture looks really cool .. it has nicely even tonal mood of sky with the rest of the image and also I see that you changed the forground as well so that why I've asked if you did it all manually or of you did use some complex solution (plugin/tool like that what you linked https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/replace-sky.html) .. I was now experimenting a bit with it and I didn't have such a nice result after full manual handwork with layers ...

Yes all other tonal adjustments were done manually using Dodge & Burn - lots of layers and using the brush - Blend tool s etc

Also- try to make the foreground snow and rooftops etc ( in this image) reflect the replaced sky tones etc

Like this- look at the roof tops and snow - using layers and gradient fills and screen blend mode and adjust the opacity

Hope this makes sense?
