Chatting up at the supermarket.

i was in the supermarket the other day, standing in the queue to pay for my stuff and i noticed the girl in front had single servings of everything.
eg 1 pint of milk. 1 can of beans. 1 loaf of bread. 1 packet of biscuits etc.
I was a bit bored (hence checking out her shopping) and decided to strike up a chat with her
"Are you single?" i asked.
"Yes!" she replied. i could tell by the tone of her voice she was a bit surprised, probably that i had spoken to her but also that i was right.
"How did you guess?" she asked. "Is it because I have only one of each item in my basket?"
She was obviously keen on the conversation continuing.
"No" i answered.
She looked confused.


"It's because you're ugly"

Actually I heard this anecdote long time ago. But in Russian. That's curious that there are some jokes that are known in all parts of the world.

And throw in the odd expletive!!!
