The first one if find the shadow going across the footprints a little distracting, but i am not sure because it going in the same direction as the prints. hrrm, maybe its just horizontal grill. I like the idea though.

I think the second one would be really cool if you turned everything to b&w except for the pink, red, yellow and blue placards - or experiement around so one of the placards is in colour while the rest are grayscale.
